The performance history of Hauser Dance, formerly known as the Nancy Hauser Dance Company, spans two generations, many culture, countless communities and thousands of miles. Founded in 1961 by the late Nancy Hauser, the Company's commitment to the living language of dance is led by Heidi Jasmin: artistic director, performer, teacher and choreographer.
The Company provides a link to the ageless roots of modern dance when the elements of time, space and energy were first combined to give dance its life. Now, more than half a century later, the Company shares its artistic legacy with communities both near and afar.
Having decades of regional, national and international touring experience, the Company is recognized for its vibrant sense of ensemble, improvisational expertise and a delight in space and form that has broad audience appeal. The dancers perform a repertoire of visually stunning and provocative dances. Through the language of dance, the Company provokes thought and humor without any detours.
